Looks great! It will be great to see how all of the continents look when they look like this.

Edit: It seems a bit small though, as that one continent is supposed to be close to the size of Hesperia.

About the dividing it up into a grid, the way the world map is stored in the ROM it's divided up into 256x256 sized chunks, it would probably be a good idea to think of the DC map the same way.

Oh, great idea!  I'll work on the grid in a bit - working on switching banks at the moment, and financial stuff is easily more important.  It may be tomorrow that I get this out, so be patient, I'll try to work as fast as I can.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! Stupid parents. 60 more seconds and I could have dragged the last mountain range to the right spot and saved it to my nook so I could be attatching it to this post right now! Gaaaah! but ill get it here in the morning. it looks awesome. I fixed the size issue too. I have a nice little crook for the sprite for the mountain entrance. I had an idea for the sprite. yeah its not original or creative and yes I know the colors are wrong. I will fix that if anyone likes it. which I doubt because of its unoriginality ( is that a word?) but whatever. just thought I'd post it.

Sprite: Not bad! I remember doing something with the Lemuria sprite when I was playing around with them a while ago. Yours looks decent, but it may need a bit more work if you are up to the task. Of course, it looks like you can do it successfully.

First Post: Great, thanks for working on the grid! Something seems a bit off with it though. Using the first map, shouldn't each box be 257x257? Unless we are going to draw over the lines used to make the grid, of course. That, and the boxes on the far right seem to be a bit narrow. Other than that, excellent work so far.

Edit: Something that I forgot, but I have an idea. Should we see if we can import some new instruments for these areas? Each continent should have its own theme, but several of the locations could use one or two instruments that none of the other regions have. These would have to be new instruments though, as the ones that already exist should be available for use everywhere. Just something random that I thought of before I forget it.

Is the conversion from Salas map being handled by John then? I have plenty of free time if not...

or is it safe to assume you's are still working on terrain?

Right now, nothing's being converted until we add things to convert.  Find a group of sections you want to edit, edit them, post them, tell us what they are, and if we like it, we'll probably keep it.

I finished what I think is what the middle continent should look like GS style. let me know what you think. also, I tweaked the sprite I posted earlier. I won't correct the colors to match the correct palette unless people like it. otherwise its a waste of time. let me know what you think. sorry I forgot to rename it, Role. it doesn't really matter though.
